As of last weekend, after 26 years of life, I have finally viewed the original Star Wars trilogy in its entirety for the first time ever, and I'm more than hooked.  Go me. *bows*

Off topic but...

Marie, what part(s) of the Phils does your family hail from?

Just curious, because I had to do a double take when I saw your name.  Thought you were someone I knew.

My mom grew up in General Santos and my dad grew up in Cabanatuan.

I probably spelled both of those cities incorrectly.

One of these days I would very much like to visit them so I can meet the other 85% of my family Roll Eyes

Another random thought...

I was unaware of the presence of another Filipino on the forums.  Where did you come from exactly?  How do you know these guys?

Hey.  I can definately relate.  I probably couldn't identify 9/10 of the family I've got over there.  The last time I visited, I was in the town square and this stranger who I later find out is cousin (probably twice removed) came up to me and started having a conversation.  Embarassed, I just smiled and nodded until I got a clue.  But most of my family is in the Illocos region, specifically SanFernando, LaUnion.  But we've got people flung out all across the globe.  From Davao, to Illinois, to Switzerland.

As for my presence on the forum, I just came to it through Jason's site.  He's my cousin.  As for the rest of the others, I have no clue who they are. Grin

Briney, you didn't tell me you have an Ameripino cousin.

(I love making up words.)
