How many of the people on this forum uses VoIP? I have now been using it for a little over 5 months now and I have enjoyed it very much. My quality of phone calls is about like an avrage cell phone call. It would probally improve if I had better internet service (which I am using Rural Communications right now, ouch!). But, that is all I have to chose from for a broadband IP. If there was some other, better quality broadband in my area, I would switch. Anyhow, back to the VoIP. If you have BroadBand and want to try VoIP, look at VoicePulse (this is the one I have) http://www.voicepulse.com. I am using the $15 a month plan and have a TR phone number. I am using this for my business phone and for making long distance phone calls. I am going to see if I can fax over the line as well this weekend. I still have a landline phone, but I do not have long distance on it. As long as my Internet is up, I use my VoIP to make long distance calls. With the cost of my landline phone and VoIP, I am paying about $40 a month. Before this, my landline was costing me $65 - $70 a month because of long distance.

The other thing I want to mention is this article about E911 service. The Big Brother people have been complaing that VoIP does not have E911 or they have outages all of the time that can cause serious acidents or deaths. Well, hey, look at landline phones. They have 911 outages all of the time like mentioned in this article http://www.dslreports.com/shownews/70648.
