	I'm sure we had a North Korea topic around here somewhere, but I couldn't find it and I was too lazy to search for it. Anyway, here is something I came across on another forum... Quote: In response to North Korea's ongoing missile rattling and posturing, the US STRATCOM announced today that the BMD system has been "activated" in preparation for a potential Teipo-Dong-2 missile launch. Two Aegis Cruisers have moved into positions in launch boxes awaiting further developments and the BMD systems at Fort Greely Alaska are alerted. Sources in Washington are saying that either ship-based or the ground based interceptros could be used to intercept the North Korean missile, should it be launched. More to follow soon...that is all. Missile System Alert I don't think the government is messing around on this one. I fully expect to see military repercussions if North Korea makes an unannounced launch. Perhaps a direct hit on the launch site is feasible? Kim is begging for a pimp slap. I say we blow it up with the lasers... -b0b (...grabs the popcorn.)

Whenever there is a crisis or a matter of seriousness, the news agencies make sure the specific language used by whatever politition is quoted exactly as to avoid confusion in paraphrasing. Which makes me wonder.... what happens when the translater messes up? ha!
