Here's a nifty physics simulator that runs in your browser.  The best 60 seconds you'll have that don't involve Wes's mom.

IT'S HAPPENING!

They're one-upping Top Gear by doing the long-awaited race between the three top super cars (a Ferrari LaFerrari, a McLaren P1, and a Porsche 918).  The Top Gear producers could never get the manufacturers to agree to it, but it looks like Amazon three enough money at people to make it happen.

Are you guys ready for the ultimate mindblow?  A reddit user has postulated that Jar Jar Binks was really a sith lord the entire time, and his argument is surprisingly convincing.  Check it out:

I think his first half is a non sequitur.  And the stylization is just that.  Take for instance Vash the Stampede from Trigun.  There, you can tell, is some effort to appear effortless.

I've always been the one to point out that Jar Jar is the one who brings about the major turn in all three movies and I would almost attribute to Lucas attempting to blink S.O.S. while someone held a gun to his head to write that awfulness.

However, the fact that these items can be pulled shows just how shotty and full of holes the story really was.  Red Letter Media did the "no topping it" review and that should answer any question had about anything.

What was the answer?  Spaceballs 2 - The Search For More Money!

Hey, anyone want a code for a free digital download of the new Trans-Siberian Orchestra album?  I got two codes with some concert tickets I bought, so the second code is up for grabs.

I thought this was a pretty nifty look at VR tech.  It's called "redirected walking", and it a technique used to fool you into thinking you're walking one path while actually walking a different one.  It can be used to fool you into thinking you're in a much bigger area than you're physically in, opening up the game world quite a bit.

As someone with a fairly small office, this could be a huge boon.  Not to mention the short distance a tethered headset will restrict you to!

I tried the Vive the other day using that technique, and did the google paintbrush thing, as well as some zbrush and other crazy proprietary tech. I like it better than my DK2, and it might be better than crescent bay... but I haven't used oculus' hand controllers yet, so I can't compare there. Next year is an amazing year for VR!

For you Doctor Who fans, Steven Moffat just quit.  We won't get any Doctor Who in 2016 (except possibly a Christmas episode), so we'll have to wait until spring 2017 to get our fix.  Sad

CBS and Paramount are apparently getting into a heated copyright battle with a Star Trek fan film.

You've got to check out the affidavit for the lawsuit, it even mentions the Star Trek animated series...

A nifty technology called Blackbird allows car companies to produce car ads before the car is even designed.  It reminds me of a natural evolution of the stuff Briney works on.

Here's some interesting reading.  Elon Musk has released a revision of his long-term technology plan for Tesla/SolarCity, showing where the companies will be going in the next ~10 years.

https://www.tesla.com/blog/master-plan-part-deux

Among other things, Tesla will be looking at other vehicle segments (e.g. semis and city buses), full driverless autonomy, and integrating solar power generation and storage into a single unit.  Sounds like good times!
