Pan's Labyrinth finally made it to Kalamazoo and I had the opportunity to see it with Mere and some friends of ours.  For the love of peat moss, see this movie.

I can't tell you how good the movie was!  Honestly, it is one of the best movies I've ever seen, and as you guys know I'm a pretty harsh critic of modern cinema.  The story was amazing, the camera work was second-to-none, and the animation had all the marks of world-class excellence.

The movie was markedly darker than I had expected and the storyline was quite a bit different than I had anticipated, but it managed to absolutely blow me away.  I can't remember the last time that I literally sat on the edge of my seat while watching a movie.  Wow!

Guys, I'm the harshest movie critic out there, and I'm telling you - SEE THIS MOVIE.  If you guys want to see it in Kalamazoo, call me and I'll try to make arrangements to watch it again.  That's how good it is!

Lol bob. We just went to see it tonight, and I was getting on to post about it. Definitely was not expecting it to be so harsh, but man... good movie.

Guess the only good movies made these days are not from the US.

I think you're just destined to love any movie with the word "labyrinth" in the title.  Smiley

I still need to watch both though...
