Nerf Gun

So I got a nerf gun this last weekend. Its the Vulcan automatic cannon, and its pretty sweet. My only complaint is that it does not fire far enough. This can be modded by putting in a stronger motor/spring, and changing the clip to allow more air through into the dart.

It has a 25-round belt, which I will be adding another 25 to make a 50-round belt for extra pwnage.

I also took the liberty of de-fruiting the paintjob. I think I will do one more light coat of black and then scrape off the corners again.

This sits on my desk at work, aimed at any would be terrorizors.

That is incredibly awesome, and it puts the Nerf gun I have on my desk at work to shame.  I've seen a lot of neat Nerf paint jobs, but that one really takes the cake.

Supposedly, you can really kick up the speed on that thing by throwing in a laptop battery.  There are a few YouTube videos (I think I even posted one back in the day) of a guy running his Vulcan at 24v.  He ran it so hot that it eventually melted.

I think 18v might be a little safer.  Cool

By the way, what's up with those fruity Christmas lights in the background?

Ha! wow they are fruity. They were in the office when we took over this part of the building and I never took them out.

You can tell a lot about a person based on what they have in their office.  For instance, Briney apparently practices good oral hygiene, as evidenced by the tube of toothpaste on his cabinet.
