RECAP!
The party arrived at a stately, spire-shaped castle rising out of the highlands of the Sumber Hills. After scouting around for period of time, the party decided to throw caution to the wind and merely waltz up to the imposing building. After ringing a bell located on a conspicuous post, the party was greeted from afar by Savra Belabranta. Claiming to be traveling aristocrats, the party convinced Savra to lower the drawbridge and invite them into Feathergale Spire. Savra mentioned their impeccable timing that coincides with the Spire's tenth anniversary before taking the party directly to the pinnacle of the Spire. There, she introduces them to the Spire's captain, Thurl Merosska.
Merosska greeted the party and invited them to join him for a meal along with several of the Feathergale Spire's senior knights. Merosska explained that the Spire was built by a number of wealthy Waterdeep citizens that enjoyed riding aerial mounts, including giant vultures, hippogriffs, and similar creatures. The Feathergale Spire seems to be a combination of a greek fraternity, de facto law enforcement agency, and a social club.
The meal was unexpectedly interrupted by the arrival of a knight that loudly informed the gathering of a manticore sighting. Thurl Merosska held out a golden ring, offering it to whomever brought him the manticore's head. The party then sprang into action, following several knights to the spire's pinnacle. There they found four hippogriffs waiting to carry them into the battle.
The party chased down the manticore and fought valiantly, replacing the Feathergale Knights as they withdrew one by one. Temmie saved one Knight from plunging to his certain death, earning his grudging gratitude. Not to be outdone, Oni daringly leapt from his hippogriff onto the back of the Hippogriff, thus turning the aerial battle into a close quarters melee. The last Feathergale Knight remaining in the battle managed to get the killing blow, but he selflessly offered the victory to Oni and crew in light of their outsized contribution to the battle.
