Briney and I finally had a chance to go head to head in Battlefield: Bad Company 2.  All in all, he kicked my butt, but I'm going to cherry pick the end-game screenshots because I can:





This game is ridiculously fun.  I'm really looking forward to playing it in a couple weeks.  You guys had better start brushing up!

That's pretty sweet.  The only one I recognized was 8BitsOfSteel.

Bah, it's not on Steam.  I considered pre-ordering it last weekend so i could get in on the early beta, but apparently the servers couldn't handle the load yesterday anyway so it's a moot point.

Also, I heard the server browser is crap.

If you guys really want to try an exercise in frustration, download Hitogata Happa from Steam.  It's only a couple of bucks, and it will be one of the hardest games you ever try to play.  It's a horizontal scroller in which you're given a certain number of lives to make it through a level.  You die instantly when you're hit by any weapon. 

Check out this screenshot from the first boss in the game.  I never made it past him, despite playing the game on the easiest setting:

I'm downloading the Beta now.  What time do you guys want to try to play tomorrow night?  We may have a difficult time getting on the same server together.  I've heard the queues are atrocious.

I picked up the Humble Bundle and got a free key for some games on Steam I already own.  Pop this key into Steam to pick up some indie games.  It's only good for one use, so first come first serve!
